26th June 2010
The use of mobile phones in our daily lives is very influencing and we can see lots of great phones are now out with outmost features around. When it comes to mobile phone manufacturers or distributors, we can say that LG is one of the best. Just like Apple, Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung, LG are known for their original and creative phone ideas. And today, as part of their modern phones, LG introduces LG Crystal which is another unique design. This is the first mobile to have a completely transparent keyboard. The phone, not being too dissimilar to the Samsung Tocco Ultra, consists of a touch screen user interface combined with a slide down keypad. The main difference from the Samsung though is that the crystal has a completely touch sensitive keypad as well. There are no separate keys with just a flat, see-through surface with numbers etched in.Take a Close Look at Nokia E72
06th May 2010
Interesting gadgets and mobile phones are now changing the world of technology. Right into your mobile phones, you have the chance to browse and access the Internet. Seems like you are handling a mini computer or laptop on your pocket due to the best and upgraded features offered. Well, many options for mobile phones are giving you this advantage and of course, you can use it not only for personal terms but also for business use. If you want to have a phone for business and want to hand a desirable executive gadget, you will love to start taking Nokia E72 with you. It looks best for business use and this Symbian S60 smartphone packs an outstanding number of features that make it more than just a slick mobile messaging device.
If you are familiar with E71 which been introduced a couple of years ago, the design hasn’t changed much for Nokia E72. It is still makes liberal use of shiny stainless steel to make its slender case feel robust. Nokia has ditched the 2.5mm headset socket in favour of a more versatile 3.5mm jack though, and wisely left the microUSB port and microSD card slot alone.
To be familiar with Nokia E72 screen and features as well as its operating system, come and check this out;
The 2.36inch screen is an inevitable side-effect of cramming a physical keyboard into the case, but its 320×240 resolution is less excusable — even the similarly equipped BlackBerry Bold 9700 manages 480×360. Although it could stand to be a little wider, the Qwerty keyboard is a pleasure to use — the sharply rounded keys feel great under the thumb, and both numbers and common symbols are readily accessible.
The E72 wants for nothing when it comes to features and a front-mounted camera, quad-band GSM, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, digital compass, FM tuner, VoIP support and 5-megapixel camera with flash make it one of the best-equipped smartphones around. Battery life is impressive too, with a quoted talk time of 12.5 hours and a standby time of four weeks.
Nokia E72: The operating system
Symbian S60 3.2.3 looks rather dated on the E72 when compared to the slick interfaces of the iPhone and Android, and isn’t anywhere near as user-friendly — multiple ways of accessing the same features and deeply buried configuration options just add to the confusion. The PIM apps are rudimentary too, and the web browser’s assumption that you only want mobile versions of web pages is annoying — though these do work better on the very low resolution screen.
Email is the E72’s real weak spot — at least for us. The two devices we tried doggedly refused to synchronize with Google’s Exchange server (not an issue we’ve had from the fore mentioned Bold or Motorola Milestone) and the built-in option for setting up Gmail IMAP access created an account that wouldn’t work. The only way we got around this was by setting up Gmail IMAP manually, using a T-Mobile, or when we swapped to a Vodafone sim. Similar problems are reported in several threads on Nokia’s own support forums, which suggest that Symbian S60 on the E72 has a few issues where email is concerned and at the time of writing, Nokia had yet to account for them.

The Sony Ericsson company has joined the “Android” phones movement when it launched the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 as its first Android phone. After much delay on their part and much anticipation to the market, the phone has been released in March 2010.
One of the most obvious characteristics of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is its size. Most users and reviews put it to the “bigger phones” category with 119 x 63 x 13 mm dimension. Though relatively big, its weight is at 135 grams.
Xperia X10’s screen size is 4.0″, a bigger screen size compared to its contemporaries with a touch screen form. Its display is 65 K color TFT capacitive screen with the resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.

The phone has also Quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G support. It also has 10.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA support
The main connectivity features of the Xperia X10 is that it is Wi-Fi able for internet needs. Its social networking integration features is one of its main features to look at. Its version of Bluetooth is 2.1 with A2DP. It also has a standard micro USB port and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The phone also has GPS receiver with A-GPS.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10’s internal memory is 1 GB with 384 MB RAM. It has a micro SD card slot. An 8 GB micro SD card is usually included in the bundle.

Charging the Xperia X10 uses a micro USB port with Li-Po 1500 mAh (BST-41) battery.
Some of the Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 more obvious disadvantages are limited storage available to the user on the system partition. This would mean that installing applications will leave the user with only 512 MB of storage.
The phone also has no smart dialing. Xperia X10 has also no secondary video-call camera.
Other weaknesses of the phone include the absence of the DivX and XviD video playback, no free GPS navigation solution, no Flash support for the web browser and no FM radio. Regarding its camera, users say the Xperia X10 does not capture good photos in low lighted places. A xenon flash would have been better for the phone to take good quality photos especially at night.
However
, users would say that these disadvantages do not affect much of the phone’s main features.
Cell Phone’s Popularity
05th May 2009
Cell phones (telefone celular) or mobile phones have had a great impact on the way we lead our lives. In today’s world, where change is the only constant, cell phones have been upgraded with lots of new technological features. There has been a tremendous growth in the use of cell phones all over the world and now almost anybody has a personal cell phone. What started in 1960s as a bulky radio communication equipment to be used at the time of war, it has now become a small pocket device with a host of special features specially crafted for the common consumer.
It satisfies more than the basic need to communicate. It is a fashion statement – an identity of self – and it comes in hundreds of models. Nokia is the world’s largest manufacturer of cell phones followed by Motorola, Samsung, BenQ, Siemens, Panasonic, Philips, LG, NEC, Sony Ericsson, Fujitsu and many more. Apart from calling and texting, cell phones are used for a variety of purposes – to keep contact information, to make task lists and daily schedules, browse mobile websites and check emails, play games, watch video clips, listen to music, take pictures and much more. Also cell phones (telefone celular) are easy to integrate with other electronic devices such as notebooks, music systems and etc. With the availability of infrared and Bluetooth technology, a lot of wireless connectivity is possible, such as the use of wireless headphones. Also you can make your phone interact with your notebook without any physical connection.
So, what should you look for while purchasing a new cell phone (telefone celular)? The points to consider include the service plan, price, size, weight, features and technical specifications, compatibility with other devices, display screen resolution and a very important feature: battery life. The latest features offered by cell phones are mega pixel camera, wireless connectivity, modem capability, PC synchronization, music and video player and a lot more.
Today, you can access the World Wide Web through your cell phone (telefone celular). To access internet, your cell phone has to be WAP-enabled. Many companies have created mobile compatible websites that make browsing on your phone very easy. You can get the latest news, stock quotes and game scores on the move through your cell phone. The advanced third-generation phones (3G phones) will soon storm the market and will have high-end graphical display that will enable better video conferencing and gaming experience.
Everybody must follow basic cell phone (telefone celular) etiquettes. Your mobile should not ring in public and disturb others. Sometimes mobile phones ring at odd instances like in movie theatres, weddings, funerals, important official meetings, etc., and to top it the fancy ring tones disturb everybody else around you. You should keep your cell phone in the silent mode when you are at a public place and you must never talk on the cell phone while driving. This might put you in trouble in many countries as there are heavy fines on cell phone misuse.
Cell phones (telefone celular) have become an intrinsic part of our lives that most of us cannot imagine a single day without it. Ring tones, caller tunes, mobile gaming, camera, texting, MMS and video messaging, audio and video recording and viewing are still not enough. New technologies are developed often to reduce size and weight, increase speed, provide a better user interface, to pack more high-definition features into a small pocket device. With GPS (global positioning system) capability, cell phones have become so useful that a person carrying one could be located to a range of a few meters, anywhere on the globe! GPS cell phones are important devices in locating users in emergency situations, which allows emergency services to be quickly dispatched.
Cell Phones Plus Land Lines
19th February 2009
Your land line gives you excellent call quality. Your cell phone offers mobility and cost savings on long distance via a cell phone plan with huge pools of anytime minutes, free long distance, and weekend calling. Too bad your best option for economical long distance calling is hindered by a poor cellular signal inside of your home. For many, this is the reality of multiple telephone communication options; each has distinct advantages but none possess all of the qualities that make life simple. Others however, have discovered some options that make integrating their wired and wireless phones a reality.
The first option is in the form of a cordless phone that allows the user to make or receive cellular calls. These phones make the connection with your cell phone either through a dock for the cellular phone or the Bluetooth feature. Users are able to bring their cell phone into the home and receive all incoming calls to that line on their landline phone. In the instance of long distance calls, this gives them the advantage of a reliable signal and the cost savings of their cell phone plan. It also allows the option of conference calling or allowing multiple family members to be on the line at the same time during a call. An additional benefit of using the landline for cellular calls while at home is that it can help to preserve the cell phone battery as it is not used during longer calls taken while at home
With the docking station, the cell phone must be inserted into the dock for the system to function; however, it can be recharged during this time. For phones that use Bluetooth to make the connection, the cell phone must simply be in the nearby vicinity; usually within about 30 feet. In either case, the user can decide whether to make an individual call via cellular or landline by simply selecting the corresponding line.
Several manufacturers offer cordless phones which make the cellular connection. Motorola, RCA, and Panasonic are among some of these makers.
For those who already own a cordless phone there is a second option. There are docking stations that can be purchased to allow their existing cell phone and cordless phone to make this connection. The most popular is the Dock-N-Talk which uses a Bluetooth connection. For those without a Bluetooth enabled phone, an adapter is available to allow the unit to function with such cell phones.
Certainly, cordless phones which can accept your cell phone calls can be a step toward optimizing the advantages of cellular and landline communication options. This simple step in integrating the two can result in a significant cost saving for most families.
Know about Global Positioning System
01st December 2008
The Global Positioning System (GPS) was funded, developed and controlled by the US Department of Defense. Since the late seventies, GPS has become an important aid to navigation around the world. Initially designed for the US military, GPS became publicly available years later and it is now considered an important feature in lots of consumer products.
How does GPS work? Well, basically there are three elements that make everything work: satellites, earth monitoring stations and receivers (ex: cell phone, telefone celular). GPS provides specially coded satellite signals that can be processed in a GPS receiver, enabling the receiver to compute position, velocity and time.
Today, most cell phones (telefone celular) are not limited to carry on just a conversation. Features like mp3 player, digital camera and video camera have all become standards in the latest cell phone models. It is expected that the GPS feature will soon be added to this list, and it will offer the capability of tracking any cell phone user.
The capability of tracking a cell phone user becomes important in emergency situations, like a car accident, thru the use of 911 emergency phone call, where every minute may be a matter of life or death. In situation like this, the GPS system may pinpoint the exact location of the road accident, enabling emergency services to be quickly dispatched.
It is important to mention that so far most GPS system in cell phone (telefone celular) is restricted to tracking information only. However, one can have navigational capability thru the use of full screen cell phone/PDA combos with map displays and other cellular phone accessories, and third party paid services. If one does not want to sign up for a monthly paid subscription service, he can make use of one-time-paid-only software programs that will enable some of the navigational capabilities.
Although there are many benefits in using GPS cell phones (telefone celular), there are some people who are concerned about the violation of personal privacy. Since the US Congress has not authorized location tracking without actual evidence of wrongdoing, there have been court hearings which have not approved the requests of government agencies in obtaining the cell phone GPS tracking information for suspects or ordinary citizens.
This privacy matter has made some progress towards the cell phone user`s rights, since there are some laws that have been passed which guarantees that GPS cell phone users will have some protection from the release of the tracking information, with the exception of 911 emergency cell phone calls (telefone celular). It is expected that these laws will guarantee that the benefits of GPS in cell phones will be enjoyed by everyone without infringing anybody`s privacy.
Sometimes when there is a technological innovation, there are also some concerns about privacy or some rights infringements. But no matter how much of a concern this is, it seems that a compromise will always have to be reached, so that new technologies will take their places in everyone`s lives. After all, we all live in a globalized consumer world. By the way, have you already got your GPS cell phone?

Global dependency on the electronic network is reflected by the tremendous amount of money that moves through its complex maze. These includes television broadcasts, telephone calls, fax transmissions and electronic mails around the globe. The effect of electronic communication and the way in which it has altered, the lives of people all over the world has not stopped.
